The Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for managing all aspects of sales activities within an assigned territory.

This role involves executing sales strategies, achieving individual and team targets, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

This position is home-office based in Calgary, Alberta, with regular travel throughout the assigned region.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Activities

  • Manage and grow sales within the assigned territory while adhering to pricing guidelines

  • Effectively communicate value propositions and solution-based offerings to engineers, contractors, and building owners

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key channel partners, including wholesalers, contractors, service providers, and OEMs

  • Support the development and execution of regional sales goals and objectives

  • Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives as required

  • Maintain accurate records and provide regular market activity updates using CRM tools

Customer Support & Relationship Management

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution

  • Oversee customer contracts, ensuring accuracy in verification and order processing

  • Generate and analyze sales reports (daily, quarterly, annually) as required

  • Track customer activity, competitor insights, and market trends

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, to support campaigns and initiatives

  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify growth opportunities

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of direct sales experience in a relevant industry

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer relationship skills

  • Experience with HVAC systems and product selection tools is highly desirable

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms

  • Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and strong analytical skills

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities

  • Ability to manage relationships within complex organizational structures
