SENIOR COMMERCIAL PROPERTY MANAGER

Salary $90-130K/year

This position involves managing multiple commercial real estate properties across the GTA, focusing on overseeing the day-to-day property operations, including tenant relations, maintenance and repair and security, etc.

Property Maintenance:

Developing and executing maintenance plans, generating work orders directed to vendors or maintenance staff and overseeing property upkeep to ensure properties are clean and well-maintained.

Tenant Relations:

Conducting move-ins and move-outs for new and existing tenants, handling tenant complaints, managing tenant issues and emergency situations and ensuring overall tenant satisfaction.

Compliance:

Ensuring compliance with leases and regulations (including safety and building codes)

Leases:

Working together with the Leasing Manager to assist with administering leases and ensuring compliance with lease terms.

Contracts:

Managing contractors and maintenance providers on all works, obtaining estimates/bids for maintenance/repairs, coordinate and schedule appointments, on-site and off-site meetings and detailed certification of all invoices amounts and information.

Financial Management:

Managing budgets, tracking expenses, approving invoices and assisting in the collection of payments.

Reporting:

Preparing memos/reports on properties, including for the property management team and management, communicating with tenants and responding to tenant inquiries and assisting with the resolution of issues.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Possession of any of the following designations: Certified Property Manager (CPM), Certified Manager of Commercial Properties (CMCP), or accredited Commercial Manager (ACoM) is considered a strong asset

  • Experience with commercial real estate property management

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Familiarity with lease agreements

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
